Bleeding heart flower

Hello ladies,

Nubar Petunia Sparkle is creating red violet petals on my fingertips. The color is more intense and brighter than my camera was able to capture. This may be my favorite from the Nubar Sparkles Collection. There are so many beauties alongside Petunia Sparkle it is difficult to declare an outright preference.

My inspiration for this manicure came from the bleeding heart flower. There is a Japanese legend shown at hollowtreetales.wordpress.com that uses parts of the bleeding heart flower to illustrate the story.

I stamped the heart with flourishes from Coraline plate CO2 and placed a red jewel in the center of the design. I used silver special polish, but I wish I had chosen white or perhaps a China Glaze Khrome instead. You can click to enlarge the pictures to full size for a clearer view.

Petunia Sparkle was easy to apply. I used two coats for opacity. The Nubar website lists this polish as having magenta glitter in a clear base. To my eyes, the base has a subtle pink tint.

This polish was sent to me for review. Petunia Sparkle and the rest of the Nubar Sparkles Collection is available at bynubar.com.

Happy painting, ladies!
