Hello ladies,
This weekend I have been working on a bridal set of nails. My friend Denise is getting married on September 18th. She wanted peacock nails to coordinate with her wedding dress. Instead of traditional white, she chose a taffeta dress in sea foam blue-green with gold undertones.
Because today was completely overcast, I had to take the photos indoors under a natural lamp. The contrast of white over the metallic is so much clearer in person. You may want to click to enlarge to get a better idea of the design. The nails were positioned over the sash of her dress.
Above is the peacock design on a thumb nail set against a peridot necklace.

I alternated the purple and blue crystals nail by nail. It will make it easier for the bride to glue them on later and not have difficulty discerning which nail belongs to which finger. I boxed them in a way to clearly distinguish, but I know how hectic wedding mornings can be. She has gold accents in her purse and jewelry, so I incorporated gold gems into the look along with more traditional peacock colors.
I created a similar manicure in June called White Peacock. For those of you familiar with it, you will understand why I longed for sun to share this bridal set with you. With our schedules this week, today was best for me to give them to her.
The peacock stamp is from Bundle Monster. I used Konad white special polish for stamping and the Bejeweled Nail Art Pen Collection for accents in the plumes. I chose 14 K, Emeralds, Sapphires and Royal Amethyst from the pen set.
The base color is Chanel Kaleidoscope. This beautiful metallic was released as a limited edition and is sadly no longer available. It does appear highly priced on ebay. This is one of my favorite nail polishes of all time. What makes it unique is the visible green undertone. The sparkle is Kaleidoscope is radiant. While glassy sea shell colors are most requested for weddings, I feel Kaleidoscope is perfect for bridal nails.
The Nubar Bejeweled Nail Art Pen Collection was provided for review. It is available for purchase at bynubar.com.
I will be back tomorrow with some nail art on my own tips, accompanied by sunlight.
Happy painting, ladies!
