China Glaze Fairy Dusty + Finger Paints Avante Garden Green

July 13, 2011

Christmas in July???

This manicure reminds me of Christmas!!!!!! I have to admit I love that time of year, so this manicure didn't bother me to wear. I guess it is the green tips. It especially looks like a Christmas manicure when you see the last couple of pictures with the Konad stamps. What do you think? Do you think it looks too much like it should be December?

I started with a clear base coat. Then painted on the tips with Finger Paints Avante Garden Green. Then added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over the entire nail. I added a second coat over the tip only.

Of course, I couldn't stop there.... I had to see what a Konad stamp looked like over it. So I choose a flower stamp.  I personally thought the Konad stamp ruined the manicure. Then I decided it needed a little more, so I added some dots of Avante Garden Green in the middle of the flowers. What do you think of this manicure? It sure sparkled in the sun!!!!

P.S. I know this post is picture heavy...BUT I love posts with lots of pictures so I thought I would start posting more pictures. Do you think I posted too many pictures and should scale back some?

Christmas manicure: candy canes and bells

Hi!
Here's the last Christmas manicure I'll show you this year.
I applied 2 coats of Flormar M103 white above Zoya base coat and then I stamped the candy canes from m12 Konad image plate.
In the middle of each bow I applied some gold steel balls.
On my thumb I stamped the bells, firstly with yellow. Then I filled in the shade with
yellow and after I stamped the image again with black.
I stamped the Merry Christmas sign with green and finaly applied some red steel balls.

What do you think?
How was your Christmas?
I hope you all had a good time. Thanks for passing by!

Christmas manicure: Santa Claus is coming to town

Hi
As Christmas is coming soon, I'll show you another themed mani.
The base colors used are Zoya Kelly and a no name glittery top coat.

After I stamped the Santa face from m12 Konad image plate.
Firstly I stamped it using white and then I filled in with white the shade.
After this, I stamped again the Santa face on the same place, using red this time.
The bows are from m59 plate.
I put red rhinestones and small steel balls.
Here's what I got:

Here are the steel balls and the brushes I used:
If you are from Romania, you can buy them from DepozitulDeFrumusete.ro

Christmas manicure: Green and red canes

Hi,
Today I'll show you another Christmas mani with m65 image plate from Konad.
I got inspired from Polishology.
The base color I used is Flormar M103.
I used green and red for stamping, so it fits best for the holidays.

Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum

Trying to do Christmas manicures from until Christmas day, hope that's cool with y'all! :) Today's is based on the song 'Little Drummer Boy'. I am completely enamored with the Milani 1-coat glitters right now, so I apologize for overusing them! :-D I thought that Red Sparkle would be PERFECT for the drum body!! The gold polish over it shows you what the texture of that polish is like though... very bumpy!

I used Milani Red Sparkle as a base, with China Glaze 2030 from Khrome Collection for the gold, mixed with American Apparel Hassid to shade. For the holly, I used BB Couture Poison Ivy for the leaves, and ORLY Candy Cane Lane for the berries. Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Rat-a-tat-tat on your dum-dum-drum. (Can't get that damn song out of my head!)

Take a Bough

Christmastime is upon us, and with a mere 7 days left, many of us are hustling around trying to finish up last minute gift shopping, attend parties, and finish up last-minute holiday decorating. Today's nail design was inspired by the cold winter days spent as a kid with my family picking out the 'perfect' tree. You know, the one that wasn't too tall or too short, too skinny or fat, and heaven forbid it be lopsided! Years have passed and my parents have since switched to artificial, and I've switched to none, unless you count the 2 foot tall one that resides on my desk at work. However, I'll always have fond memories of tree hunting, whether it was at the store or a Christmas tree farm, so this design makes me feel fuzzy on the inside. ;) Hope it evokes fond memories of Christmases past for you too!

I used FingerPaints Winter Wishes from the FingerPaints Winter Dreams collection as a base, LOVE this color- super sparkly champagne color that would also be perfection for New Years! For the tree boughs, I used American Apparel Raccoon for the branch and base for the cones, then Zoya Dea to highlight the cones. For the needles, I started with OPI Here Today, Aragon tomorrow, then used Zoya Envy, then Zoya Shawn, then BB Couture Poison Ivy, then Zoya Envy again to separate some of the needles. Everything was random, but I layered the colors like I did to add depth. Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Needle little Christmas?

Christmas manicure: water decals

Hi,
First of all, I'd like to tell you that this is my 100th post. I'm so happy for it!

And now, let me show you a Christmas manicure.
I used a nail polish from BB Cream Boutique Dear Darling Bling Bling collection
which it's called RD010.
This is 2 coats without any top coat. It's a holo-glittery color and it's gorgeous.
Then, I applied some Christmas water decals from Born Pretty
To find out more about how to apply them, visit this page. There's a tutorial for them.

This is what I got:

Aren't they just pretty?
What do you think?

You can buy the Etude House nail polish from their website.
