NOTD - MODELS OWN PURPLE HAZE

Between all the puppy issues I found time to do my nails last night. I first painted two coats of Zoya - Pinta, a dark purple creme for the base. Then I painted a generous coat of Models Own - Purple Haze. This is more royal purple color in real life. The darker base color gives this a really cool look that I didn't get with Purple Haze on it's own when I have worn it before.

SUNKIST ORANGE

Doesn't this polish make you think of Sunkist Orange pop? It does me. Just beautiful!! On the ring and pinkie fingers I put a base coat of a orange color, but unless you look really close there isn't much difference, so this would work great on either. Thanks Helen :)

MODELS OWN - LEMON MERINGUE

We have had nothing but rain for the last few days, so what better way to brighten things up a bit than yellow nail polish? Models Own - Lemon Meringue is a pale, buttery yellow. I love this shade!! I'm so glad I selected it over another glitter for my swap with Helen. I am dying to get home and use my konad on this sucker! I think it is great light base color for using my konad stamp on. Or maybe I could try to make some little bee's with some black paint for this. . . .

The pictures with flash are more color accurate than those I took with out flash.

PURPLE HAZE

First off, purples do NOT photograph well at all!! I tried to find something that was close to the actual shade of this polish for you all, and this is all I could come up with:

Anyway, now that we have the actual color shown, lets look at the pictures and just imagine that they are bright purple and not dull blue, ok?!

This is a nail polish brand called Models Own that I got from Helen on a recent swap. Purple Haze is one of the prettiest shades of purple glitter girls! It did go on thin even though it looks very opaque in the bottle. It was a little hard getting the glitter to cover the tips of my nails and took a little bit longer on the dry time. I did a base coat of black and two coats of Purple Haze for the swatches below. I have three more glitters from this brand that I hope to be trying out soon.
