ALIEN EYES

Alien Eyes is what Little called this mani when I showed it to him - so that's the name I'm going with.

I painted a white base coat down, then used Color Club's gold crackle polish. Then I added the "alien eye" using black iron on nailheads I found at Michael's.

FYI - No I didn't "iron on" the nail heads, I know someone's gonna ask. I just used topcoat to make them stick.

CANDY TOES

Those who have been reading my blog for a while know that I have a huge love for over the top Japanese style nail art. I just love it everything about it. When I did a review of some products from the Born Pretty store a while ago, I requested these little candy, sweets nail arts. I knew when I used them I wanted them to last, and I paint my nails way to often to use them on my hands. So I got with my awesome local nail salon POLISHED NAIL SALON, and Samantha created this wonderful pedi!

She was worried she was putting too much stuff on my toes, but I assured her, I wanted every inch covered! I wanted the most over the top, tacky, fun pedi we could do. I think she accomplished my goal and then some! Thanks Samantha and all the girls at POLISHED NAIL SALON for making my toes the talk of the town, lol.

OHHH GIRL, MY NAILS ARE FLY......

Butterfly that is! I used Zoya Miley for the base color of this mani. I was looking at Nail Max and Nail Venus mags yesterday and I was really inspired to do some sort of nail art. After a few trial and errors and getting all of my nail art bits out - I finally had this idea pop into my head.

I used the heart shape nail art bits to make the wings and long, slender gold bits for the body. The long metal bodies came from the Pretty Shiny Things nail art kit (you can get it at Victoria Nail Supply). Then I used gold balls to make the antennae with. On my ring finger I used light pink balls for the antennae and darker pink balls to make the swirl so that it looked like the little butterfly was buzzing around. And of course, since I was looking at Japanese nail art I HAD to take it over the top and add pearls, diamonds and pink gems. I also decorated the butterfly wings using both pink and gold balls.

When I started doing the other hand I really liked the look of just simple butterflies. I really couldn't decide which way I liked them best, so I did each hand different.

SEEIN' STARS

This is my recent pedi I did. I painted my toes with China Glaze Liquid Leather and then added the 3-D silver metal stars. I like how this turned out and I liked that it still was with the 4th of July theme, but would work past that without being red white and blue. I got several compliments for this and my mani that I did. :)

:::EDIT:::
The stars used in this pedi can be found in the Pretty Shiny Things kit from Art Club. Victoria Nail Supply sells the whole kit HERE or just the jewels and gems HERE.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Well I just couldn't let my nail art attempt go down without a fight. So I changed a few things up from the previous idea I had. I am using better quality little balls, they are a little bit bigger too, so not so many were needed. I spread the red jewels out so they weren't so crammed in next to each other. I also didn't worry about trying to do a french design, I just did it over a solid base color.

I'm so stinkin' pleased with these! They are so gaudy they just make me smile :D I just hope that all my little jewels and balls last until Sunday......keeping fingers crossed!

The very last picture I took turned out soooooo cool! I took it by just the light of the tv with no flash and that is how it came out.

Hope you all enjoy your holiday and see ya back on Monday!

FANCY FOURTH OF JULY NAILS

I had such high hopes for this nail design. It was just a little to tedious for me to finish on my own nails, unfortunately. Times like these I wish I could just pop off my real nails, decorate them and then pop them right back on. I know if I would have been doing this on someone else, it would have looked much better.

I ran into a few problems, after placing each of the gold balls (yes, one by one!) I used top coat which made the gold bleed onto the white french tip, so I had to go back with a white nail art pen and try to cover up the yellow stains. This made for a sloppy look and it just seemed way to thick around the gold balls.

So after all that I knew I would have to spend at least a good hour to hour and half to do the rest of my nails, so I stopped at just doing the three nails I had done.

Either way, enjoy!

*the blue color I used was a franken I made, Spark in the Dark

FOURTH OF JULY TOES

I did these on my sister's toes last night. She wanted something Fourth of July inspired, so this is what we came up with.

SALLYS HAUL - THEY HAVE FRUIT NOW!

Had to go to Sally's last night because . . . . LOL Like I really need a reason to go, I just went! Anyway, I found a bunch of new nail art kits including the little fimo fruits! I have a SERIOUS banana pedi in the works coming up! Hope to work on it this weekend!

I had a 20% off my whole purchase coupon, and a gift card - needless to stay I made away like a bandit!
