APPLE OF MY EYE - NOTD

Doesn't this look so boring compared to the Poolside collection I just posted....

I used Loreal - Apple of my Eye, a bright - almost orange red jelly polish. I used a base coat of a flesh colored polish and used 2 coats of Apple of my Eye. The stickers I believe are from Color Club but I am not positive.

HIGH-HO HIGH HO - WHERE THE HELL DID THAT WAGON GO??

I mean I WAS just on that wagon, I just fell off for a second last week and I can't seem to find it any where!! Guess that explains this:



This is my first brush set I bought. I bought these because I just LOVE the handles. However, I need you makeup aficionado's to tell me if these were worth the $20 I paid for them before I open the pkg. up so I can take em back if I need to. I like the look of them, but if they are just going to fall apart on me or something, I would rather take them back - so Vanessa, Pixie, Rai - all you others out there, let me know what you think!!

I'm sure you all have seen these on TV. Well I found them at CVS and I am going to give them a whirl. Do you guys have these? Plus look:

It turns your clothes from black and white to COLOR.....ooooohhh!!!

The lady at the cosmetics counter at Walgreens told me she just put these out not 10 minutes before I waltzed in! These are the new neons from SH Insta-Dri. There were three other colors I didn't pick though. Two were pinks and one was a purple.

Found this at Target, and those two polishes with the glittah caught my eye! If they don't work very well I might have to franken something with them.

Target had these on sale for $1.59 ea, so I scooped a couple up.

I got this one for my mom. She really likes browns and this is sort of a goldish brown, plus it was on clearance........see the sticker!!!

I also got these cute nail stickers. I was sold when I saw the the little puppies

See the puppy ones? Aren't those too cute!!

So like I said, any one see that wagon I was just on???

FINALLY A VALENTINES DAY NOTD

I know this isn't much, but with these shorties I did the best I could do.

First off I used my new N.Y.C. nail polish. I used 240B Midtown. It was the bright pink one. I am loving this nail polish. It applied very well. I had no control issues at all. I painted two coats of this and then one coat of Carolyn NY quick dry topcoat. I had some strange, tiny bubbles pop up on a couple of nails, but I'm not for sure if that was due to the N.Y.C. or the Carolyn NY quick dry top coat. I will have to try another NYC with a different top coat and see how it turns out.

Then I applied some black nail art stickers - hey, don't knock the stickers! It was as close to "nail art" as I have been able to muster up lately.

LEAF SCRAPBOOK STICKER DESIGN

I came up with the idea for this on Monday. Recently I purchased some scrapbook stickers at Michael's to use on top of my nails, sort of like nail art stickers. But I thought the designs were so cool, it might look neat to paint my nails, put a sticker on, paint my nails another color and then pull off the sticker. So when I got home I decided to do it. It worked out pretty good. I noticed that some of the more intricate designs I had more trouble getting them peeled off my nails in one pull. If you look close you can see a couple of spots where I messed up my polish trying to get the sticker off. In real life though, these nails look pretty hot!

First I painted my nails with China Glaze - QT. I did two coats of that, and let it dry.

Then I used one of the smaller silver stickers and placed it on my dry nail. I tried to leave some of the sticker hanging off of the nail so I would have something for my tweezers to grab when it comes time to take the stickers off. I picked this design of sticker since it could easily be cut down to fit my nail if needed.

Next, I painted over my entire nail, sticker and all, with China Glaze - Let's Do It in 3-D. I used two coats of this and let it dry somewhat. Then using tweezers I pulled the sticker off. I then used my Poshe top coat and did two good coats over my nails.

NEW CAMERA, OLD CAMERA PICS

Well I got a new camera. I got the Canon PowerShot SX110 IS. I am so excited about this bad boy! Now I just need to figure out how to use this sucker. I tried to install the disc that came with the camera, but when I try to access the part I have to go to to download my pics from my camera to my computer a notice keeps coming up saying there was an error and it must close down - wtf??? I'm going to try to do this on my laptop at home tonight and see if I am getting the same message as my computer up here at work. (keeping fingers crossed I don't)

Anyone with this camera, or just anyone that could offer some advice I would really be great full!

These first pics are just some fooling around I was doing trying to come up with some ideas for my sisters nails for the wedding. The blue background color on my nails was just the color I had on at the time, her nails would have been painted a color to go with her wedding colors or left neutral. The silver leafy designs were some scrapbook stickers I found at Michael's. Yes, scrapbook. I have found a new place to find cheap nail items, look no further than the scrapbook section of your craft supply store. I found jewels, stickers, pearls, all sorts of things that are so much cheaper than getting them from say, Sally's.

This next one was just some silver bouillons I used (these did come from Sally's)

After I did this design, I got a great idea for a wedding ring nail:
How cute is that? I loved this when I got done with it. I used two long, rectangle shaped jewels and placed them right next to each other, then used my silver bouillons to make the "band" of the ring.

These are just some red glitter tips I did using Color Club - Art of Seduction.

KILLER NAILS

Killer nails because I used Color Club - Killer Curves for these. Last night I sat down to do something with my nails and couldn't come up with a single thing to do with them. I felt as though all my creativity was gone for the day. So nothing special with these. I painted the tips with Killer Curves, a really dark red. A blood red I would call it. I really love Color Club nail polish! The ones that I have used have all been really shiny and they apply so easy. I then used a silver NAP and traced along the edge of the polish. I added a silver bow sticker to my thumb. On my ring finger I attached 6 clear, square shaped "jewels". I was worried that these jewels would be a p.i.t.a., but the really haven't been. I covered the jewels with a thick coat of seche. I washed my hair and everything, and I had no "snagging" with the jewels.
