Beverly Hills

Good Morning,

After browsing around on other blogs I heard there was a new collection of SinfulColors called Beverly Hills.  I went to my local Walgreen's after work to take a look.  Most of the colors are repromotes.  I noticed a lavender color that I didn't have so I grabbed it.  Beverly Hills is a soft springy lavender creme.  I needed three coats to cover well.

This collection has rings on the tops of the bottles.  Isn't it cute *-*

Purple Paisley: Cheeky Monkey Tease

Hello ladies,

Though still wearing my winter coat, I walk by the trees, dressing themselves in Spring flowers.
The daffodils are like little yellow lights along the park walkways. So lovely! I can't wait for the tulips to greet us.

With Konad violet pearl special polish, I stamped the paisley design from plate H6. I embellished the paisleys with comma rhinestones and applied white rainbow flowers as an accent. In the centers of the flowers, I added purple gems and pale lavender pearls.

A beautiful grey toned lavender, Tease applied perfectly. Opaque in two coats, this is shade is what I wish for in every pastel application. The color is soft, yet a little edgy.

I hope the purple paisleys and flowers brought a little bit of Spring your way.

Tease was sent to me for review. This color can be purchased from cheekymonkeycosmetics.com.

Image plate H6 was provided for my consideration. To view the full line of nail art stamping supplies, stop by chez-delaney.com.

Trousseau

Hello ladies,

I was thinking today about vintage bridal trousseaus. I love the idea of a hand carved trunk overflowing with embroidered linens and exquisite gowns. I wanted to create a manicure of soft colors and old world details.

With brown Konad Princess polish, I stamped the creeping floral vine from plate M31. I added blue and silver beads along with pastel blue pearls to highlight the flowers. The floral pattern makes me think of filigree.

Wild Orchid reminds me of moonlight.

A pretty little tree in Fitler Square.

Wild Orchid is unusual. It's a lavender tinted grey with multihued shimmer. I painted three coats for perfect opacity. Those ladies with shorter nails would likely be pleased with two coats. The application was great with this color.

I hope you enjoyed my heirloom inspired manicure.

Wild Orchid was sent to me for review. Part of the Untamed Luxury Collection, this polish can be purchased from victoriasnailsupply.com.

Konad plate M31 was provided for my consideration. To explore the full line of Konad products, stop by ocnailart.com. For the chance to win eight nail art stamping plates. Head over to the Ladies' Choice of Eight Plates Giveaway! The contest ends November 24th, so get your entries in!

Bon Bons...Hmm!

Good Morning on this Hump day!  Was at my local nail supply store and picked up Orly Bon Bon.  Lavender jelly yes.  Lavender is the colour of serenity. This one is going in my top 25 or is that top 10?  Well, whatever I'm loving it.  I want some bon bons right now. Hmm! I needed 3 coats for an even application.

Here I'll share
If you don't have Bon Bon you need it in your collection ^_^

Windswept blossoms

Hello ladies,

We have had such rain here for the past few days! Lovely pastels from the Essie Art of Spring Collection have been readying me for the emergence of blooms. I've seen green shoots coming up that are harbingers of crocus flowers. In the community garden, neighbors have been clearing their plots for planting. It will be so nice to visit the garden again as the flowers are greeting the sun.

Today I am wearing Essie Neo-Whimsical. This shade is delicate and enchanting. I've seen much appreciation for Lilacism from the Art of Spring Collection. Neo-Whimsical certainly equals it's beauty. It has a lavender hue with a subtle touch of pink, giving it the possibility to flatter many skin tones. For ladies who have trouble with pastel purples that lean more towards blue or grey, Neo-Whimsical might be a favorable choice.

I stamped the floral image from Konad plate M77 in violet pearl princess polish. The pearls were applied asymmetrically to further the idea of the wind's movement.

Neo-Whimsical is a bit of a fussy diva. The colors I have tried from the Art of Spring Collection take a little more effort to apply than average. The tones are so pleasing, I don't mind. I am wearing three coats of Neo-Whimsical over two coats of a ridge filling base. I used Brucci 2 in 1 Nail Perfection, but any base with a milky tint will accomplish the task nicely. This is a fairly typical method for applying pastel shades from any brand.

Essie Neo-Whimsical was sent to me for review.

Konad plate M77 was provided for my consideration. Konad products can be purchased from ocnailart.com. For a chance to win all eight of the new design plates, please visit the contest post to enter.

Happy painting, ladies!
