Good Morning,

Dr's Remedy Hot Hot Hot Summer 2011 Collection : Five fabulous, terrifically-on-trend shades of Enriched Nail Polish.

                            Lovely Lavender
A pale purple with matt depth and charm.  It's a fabulous dusty purple creme that I love so much! It's my favorite in this collection.  Used 2 coats.

Glee Gold
A shimmer infused coin of perfection.  There are various colors of shimmer shown from the bottle silver, gold and green but not so visible on the nail.  Used 3 coats

Tranquil Tangerine
A bold, but wonderfully wearable, slice of juicy delight.  Put on your sunglasses I don't want to blind you! This is a bright beautiful golden shimmery orange.  Used 2 coats

Bold Baby Blue
An aqua meets turquoise take on every boy's favorite color.  Silvery blue tone which looks almost like a foil on the nail.  Used 2 coats

Nurture Nude Pink
A delicate, damsel in distress barely there beautiful.  This is a great polish to wear going on a job interview or if your not in the mood for any color.  From the bottle it has a flash of pink shimmer but not shown on the nail.  Used 2 coats

The formula on these are good and easy to apply. I wish there was a green in this collection.

Craving Coral

Good Morning,

Out of all the colors I have been wearing this summer.  Thus far Coral is my favorite to wear.  It screams summer time.  Revlon Craving Coral is the best coral I came across.  It's an orange-y red coral creme.  It's so rich and vibrant!  The formula is a bit on the thin side though it covered nicely in three coats. I found it at Big Lots for only $2.00.

Craving Coral was on my toes for about 2 weeks.  I loves it!

What is your favorite color to wear during this hot weather?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

River of gumdrops: Diamond Cosmetics Orange Blush

Hello ladies,

The corner grocery store a few blocks from my apartment ordered too many gumdrops. I wonder if there was some type of mishap on the request form, a shipping error or an incredible warehouse sale that led to the pile up of tiny, clear tubs of gumdrops at the counter. The squishy, sugar coated rainbow has invaded the aisle of nuts and snacks. The gumdrops have taken over my nail art. I am certain the gumdrops are occupying the collective unconscious of my neighbors and perhaps their dreams as well. Gumdrops!

With white Konad special polish, I stamped the dot pattern from Bundle Monster plate BM209. I angled the design to create a subtle zig zag. Gumdrops are bouncy and wouldn't move in a straight line. With the Art Club sealer topcoat, I adhered a rainbow of gems across each nail.

My right hand shown with my new friend, a baby grasshopper.

Nature's pom poms!

Orange Blush is a sheer jelly polish. Not a pure orange, it has a lovely pinkish hue that would make it skin flattering to almost everyone. The first day, I wore two coats over Super Base, which offers subtle whitening. I added two more coats on the second day, followed by the nail art. Orange Blush can be worn as a sheer or can be built up to a stronger tint. A whitening base or slipcover nude would be needed to make this color fully opaque. It's super pretty and glossy. I would recommend Orange Blush to cool tone ladies who want a juicy summer color.

I hope you like the manicure. May your dreams be filled with gumdrops, as mine are!

Orange Blush was sent to me for review. US residents can purchase this polish from diamondcosmetics.com. International shipping is available from boozyshop.nl.

Happy painting, ladies!

Sunny Side Up

Good Morning,

Orange is such a bright lively color...my mani looks like a tall glass of Orange Juice.  Yummy!  It's my favorite color to wear for the summer months.  Wet N Wild 'Wild Shine' Sunny Side Up did not disappoint me.   It's creamy on the thin side but 3 coats gave me the opacity that I wanted.

Not bad for 99 cents, I picked up a couple of Wild Shines when Walgreens marked them down to 50 cents.  I could not pass up a great deal :P  Woot!

I decided to give  OPI Silver Shatter a try. Using one coat then a topcoat.  I love how the orange is peaking through.  These 2 colors go very well together.

As an accent I used Bundle Monster Plate BM-207 with Konad Special White Polish (I am really lovely these plates ya'll)

There you have it.  I hope you like it :D

I'm still on the lookout for the Mermaid's Cove Collection.

China Glaze Island Escape Summer Collection Swatches/Review

Good Morning,

I have the Island Escape Summer Collection to show you.  This collection is great for the summer.  I love all the colors.  They are bright and fun.

                                  Blue Iguana
Turquoise Blue glass fleck with a hint of purple.  The formula is thin so I needed 3 coats

Papaya Punch
Orange creme that's not as bright as a neon.  I used 2 coats

108 Degrees
Glass fleck Fuchsia with a flash of pink shimmer needed 2 coats

Electric Pineapple
Yellow green creme or chartreuse needed 2 coats

Cha Cha Cha
Yellow tone green with a flash of yellow shimmer needed 2 coats

Senorita Bonita
Purple with red shimmer needed 2 coats

From the bottles I didn't think this collection was all that special.  Once I applied them I fell in love.  I used 2 coats on all except Blue Iguana which needed 3 coats to get to bottle color.  It's a nice variety of colors in this collection which included my favorite colors blue, green and purple.  The cremes were easy to apply as well.

Illamasqua Bacterium and Gamma Swatches/Review

Good Morning,

Illamasqua has some of the most brilliant nail varnishes that you want to own. The colors are rich and the formula is spectacular.  I have a few to show you from the  "Toxic Nature Collection" Spring 2011

Bacterium:  Pearlescent Ash Ochre, I describe it as a frosty duochrome toffee brown with a flash of purple.  Two coats were used.

Bacterium is a unique color.  It's the first of it's kind in my collection.

Gamma:  Neon Orange,  a bright creme orange that dries matte. Two coats were used.

With Topcoat

What I like about these polishes is the formula.  No problems while applying them.  I would wear Bacterium on a job interview it's a safe color. I can't wait to wear Gamma on my toes.

These 2 and others from this collection is available here
