Finger Paints Peace, Love & Color Summer Collection 2011...Swatches and Review

Good Morning Everyone *-*

I know it's been awhile since I posted a nail of the day.  You know how it is life can get in the way.  I am happy to show you the Finger Paints Summer Collection.   These are great to wear throughout these hot summer months.

                             Give Pink A Chance
I would call this a Watermelon Pink.  It's gorgeous...Can you believe it's opaque with one coat! I did use 2 coats.

Groovy Green
Green Apple Green Frost.  There is some brush strokes to this one.  2 coats were used.

All You Need Is Color
Teal and Green glitter in a clear base.  I used 3 coats to cover visible nail line. When dry it's a bit dull so I used a topcoat to bring in some shine.

Psychedelic Sunshine
Egg Yoke Yellow in a jelly base. Packed full of multi colored shimmer yellow, green, blue, and orange.  The formula on this one was thick but applied smoothly.  I used 2 coats but should have used 3 to cover visible nail line.

Outta Sight Orange
Orange with pink and yellow shimmer.  The pink doesn't show up on this picture but it's there. Very easy to apply nice formula.

Peaceful Purple
Purple, Red, and Silver Glitter in a clear base.  This one is totally awesome.  I added topcoat to give it more shine.

I love this collection.  A nice variety for the summer.  My least favorite one is Groovy Green and you know green is one of my favorites.  It's my least favorite because it's frosty and leaves brush strokes, but I do love the color.  My favorites  are Give Pink A Chance.  It's like a coral pink and it's a one coater.  Also love All You Need Is Color and Peaceful Purple both are very nice glitters.

These can be purchased at your local Sally's Beauty Supply Store.

Do you have these already? Which ones are your favorite?

China Glaze Island Escape Summer Collection Swatches/Review

Good Morning,

I have the Island Escape Summer Collection to show you.  This collection is great for the summer.  I love all the colors.  They are bright and fun.

                                  Blue Iguana
Turquoise Blue glass fleck with a hint of purple.  The formula is thin so I needed 3 coats

Papaya Punch
Orange creme that's not as bright as a neon.  I used 2 coats

108 Degrees
Glass fleck Fuchsia with a flash of pink shimmer needed 2 coats

Electric Pineapple
Yellow green creme or chartreuse needed 2 coats

Cha Cha Cha
Yellow tone green with a flash of yellow shimmer needed 2 coats

Senorita Bonita
Purple with red shimmer needed 2 coats

From the bottles I didn't think this collection was all that special.  Once I applied them I fell in love.  I used 2 coats on all except Blue Iguana which needed 3 coats to get to bottle color.  It's a nice variety of colors in this collection which included my favorite colors blue, green and purple.  The cremes were easy to apply as well.

Win It Wednesday with Revlon!

Good Afternoon!

I have a couple of awesome Revlon's that are just awesome to have.  Top Speeds.  During last year everyone was getting the top speeds from CVS with a coupon. About a week ago one of my Walgreen's had a manager's special for .99 cents can you believe it!?

Royal is a must have.  It's a gorgeous royal blue jelly.  I adore it because it's blue and it's a jelly!  Next is Electric it's a sunshine slightly shimmer yellow.  Many are comparing it to Chanel's Mimosa.  I have seen side by side swatches and I could not tell the difference.  It was said that the Revlon has the better formula.  Way to go Revlon!  Next is Black with Envy.  Now when I saw the display at Ulta it didn't look special to me but I picked it up anyway and I'm glad I did.  It's a beautiful black with a tinge of green shimmer.  It's a really close dupe to Chanel's Black Pearl.  High five to Revlon!

Here are my swatches:

                        Royal
It dries to a semi matte finish

Added one coat of Revlon ColorStay topcoat. These pictures are from my post back in December

Electric
It does have a slight shimmer

I wanted to see what it looked like with a coat of Revlon's Banana Blaze Glimmer Gloss. A pretty yellow sparkly glitter.  My picture doesn't give it justice.  I applied 2 thin coats and one thick coat of Electric.

                            Black with Envy

Great formula only needed 2 coats

From the bottles Chanel Black Pearl has more green in it.  On the nail it's only a slight difference.  They are close.  I used 2 coats on both.  I think Black with Envy is just as pretty!

Can you tell the difference here?

or here?  Very close right?

Illamasqua Bacterium and Gamma Swatches/Review

Good Morning,

Illamasqua has some of the most brilliant nail varnishes that you want to own. The colors are rich and the formula is spectacular.  I have a few to show you from the  "Toxic Nature Collection" Spring 2011

Bacterium:  Pearlescent Ash Ochre, I describe it as a frosty duochrome toffee brown with a flash of purple.  Two coats were used.

Bacterium is a unique color.  It's the first of it's kind in my collection.

Gamma:  Neon Orange,  a bright creme orange that dries matte. Two coats were used.

With Topcoat

What I like about these polishes is the formula.  No problems while applying them.  I would wear Bacterium on a job interview it's a safe color. I can't wait to wear Gamma on my toes.

These 2 and others from this collection is available here

Nubar Spring Garden Collection Swatches

Are you enjoying Spring Time?  I surely am.  There are lots of spring colors to go around.  Nubar has a beautiful collection for us that will take us through an Earthen path of a Spring Garden.

                                         Pink Lily
Pink Lily:  A lovely pastel pink creme.

one coat of Dewdrop

Earthen
Earthen: A light pastel grey creme

one coat of Dewdrop

Baby Sprout
Baby Sprout: light pastel green

one coat of Dewdrop

Blue Hydrangea
Blue Hydrangea: light pastel blue

one coat of Dewdrop

White Peony
White Peony: An off white creme

one coat of Dewdrop

Yellow Primrose
Yellow Primrose: A Pale yellow creme

one coat of Dewdrop

Purple Aster
Purple Aster: A pale lavender creme

one coat of Dewdrop

Honeysuckle
Honeysuckle:  A bright bubblegum pink.  Sorry my picture is washed out.  Wrong setting on camera.  It's much more deeper.

one coat of Dewdrop...Still Honeysuckle is a little more deeper.

This collection was fun and will be great in your collection if you like pastels.  My favorite is Yellow Primrose because I don't own any really pale yellows.  My absolute favorite is Honeysuckle because it's jell-ish!  All the rest are cremes and they are streaky.  The best way to apply streaky polish 2 thin coats, then a thick coat and let dry between each coat.

Dewdrop is a multi-glitter in a clear base that gives each one a fun look.
