Illamasqua Bacterium and Gamma Swatches/Review

Good Morning,

Illamasqua has some of the most brilliant nail varnishes that you want to own. The colors are rich and the formula is spectacular.  I have a few to show you from the  "Toxic Nature Collection" Spring 2011

Bacterium:  Pearlescent Ash Ochre, I describe it as a frosty duochrome toffee brown with a flash of purple.  Two coats were used.

Bacterium is a unique color.  It's the first of it's kind in my collection.

Gamma:  Neon Orange,  a bright creme orange that dries matte. Two coats were used.

With Topcoat

What I like about these polishes is the formula.  No problems while applying them.  I would wear Bacterium on a job interview it's a safe color. I can't wait to wear Gamma on my toes.

These 2 and others from this collection is available here

Blue Monday, Cosmetic Arts...Sky High

Cosmetic Arts-Sky High

Blue Monday By Annie Lee

Good Blue Morning,  I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine went too fast. Lol!  I went to Ross about a week ago and found a couple of Cosmetic Arts brand polish.  CosmeticGroup makes them. They also make Color Club.  These polishes were inexpensive only $1.99.  The day I went the display was picked over so I missed out on 8 of them.  The website has a picture of the display-12 count and this one is from the Spring Collection.  No names on the bottles but from the website the name is Sky High.  It's an exact dupe to Color Clubs 'Take Me To Your Chateau'.  If you want to see my post on it click here. As I can remember TMTYC was a little streaky.  Cosmetic Arts-Sky High is a beautiful sky blue creme.  Smooth application and only needed 2 coats to cover well.

I love these square bottles there just like American Apparels bottles

My middle fingernail broke again :(  It must be this weather.  My nails are not in good shape. Ugh!

Blues are so hard to photography.  I couldn't get my skin tone coloring right.

Did some nailart

These are the paints I used to mimic my background

Did you pick up some of these at Ross?  Which ones did you get?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

Dr. Remedy Winter Wonder Nails Collection Swatches/Review

How wonderful is having a nail polish line that's formulated by doctors.  These beauties are enriched with tea tree oil, vitamins and Wheat Protein. Sounds healthy, huh!  There are 4 shades in this collection.  I only received 3 of them.  Nuture Nude Pink is not shown.

Dark Brown, Heather Grey, Ruby Red

Sorry my pictures are so dark
,
Heather Grey is a smooth light grey creme.  Great formula required 2 coats.

Dark Brown is an awesome cocoa hot fudge chocolate creme.  It was opaque with one coat!  I used 2 coats.

Ruby Red  is a dark crimson red shimmer that is an amazing rich velvet color.  I used 2 coats.

I had no problems with applying these.  They are superb!  Love the square bottles and the brush is excellent to work with.  My favorite from the bunch is Dark Brown.  It applied like buttah it just glided on the nail and did I mention how opaque it is!

These can be purchased online www.remedynails.com or by calling 1-877-323-NAIL.

Scented with flowers

Hi everyone, I have another manicure for you today! I used the base color of Revlon Scented Polish called "Bubble Gum" ( It really smelled like bubble gum when dried!) and then konad white stamping color with the stamp from plate m54. I then colored the petals in with NYC "Canal Street". As you can see I was not perfect with filling in the petals!

I don't have any sunlight where I live, so I couldn't take any outside pictures =(

You're Invited

Saturday I was invited to a small gathering with the ladies only! We had lots of food, great talks and kicked back to watch lots of Tyler Perry movies.  Most definitely had a great time.  Look at that invitation love the colors so I decided  on what I was wearing and to do a matching mani.  I wish you can see it in real life.  My friends loved it.  They wondered how I matched the colors so well..(whispering...some don't know that I'm a nail polish fiend.)

The blouse I decided to wear

From Left: L.A. Colors Art Deco-white, FolkArt waterbase paint-skintone, Sparitual It's a breeze, Loreal Waters Edge, Revlon Chocolate Truffle, Sparitual Full of Life, Nail Art Stripper brush (purchased at Sally's)

I hope you enjoyed my invite

Chocolate and crochet

Hello ladies,

With the cooler weather upon us, I keep hearing tales of evening hours spent with crochet hooks and knitting needles. I can guarantee the majority of my female friends has made a crochet flower in the past week. This manicure presents an option of how to accessorize your nails to match endeavors with yarn.

From image plate M40, I stamped the row of flowers with Konad pastel blue special polish. I added soft blue pearls and blue beads for ornamentation. This tone on tone approach reminds me of boutique yarns, threaded with delicate beads and gems.

Easy to apply, Nothing But Truffle was opaque in two coats. I love the warm shimmer present in full sun. In diffuse light, this shade appears dark, but still looks brown to my eyes.

For those of you who enjoy crochet during the colder weather, may I suggest a chocolate truffle to add luxury to the comfort of yarn?

Nothing But Truffle was sent to me for review. This polish and others from the Untamed Luxury Collection are available for purchase at victoriasnailsupply.com.

Image plate M40 was provided for my consideration. Visit ocnailart.com for the full line of Konad products. For a chance to win an assortment of image plates, stop by the Ladies' Choice of Eight Plates Giveaway. The contest ends on November 24th, so get your entries in!

Happy painting, ladies!
