I Won!! Lex Cosmetics...PeaBow

Good Morning,

Do you remember on January 30, 2011 I asked you to vote for me? Well, guess what! I won!! I entered into a contest with Lex Cosmetics. My color of choice won! Thank you so much for voting for me *-* Peabow is now available here . If you purchase $1.00 will go toward animal protection.

PeaBow is a Blue/Purple it's what I would describe as a Bluple. It's a cream with hint of blue shimmer flashing through. I used 3 coats.

Blues and purples are hard to capture. In real life it has more purple in it.

Here I used bundle Monster Plates BM15 and BM212 along with Konad Special Nail Polish

Don't throw darts at me. Lol!

Craving Coral

Good Morning,

Out of all the colors I have been wearing this summer. Thus far Coral is my favorite to wear. It screams summer time. Revlon Craving Coral is the best coral I came across. It's an orange-y red coral creme. It's so rich and vibrant! The formula is a bit on the thin side though it covered nicely in three coats. I found it at Big Lots for only $2.00.

Craving Coral was on my toes for about 2 weeks. I loves it!

What is your favorite color to wear during this hot weather?

A Red and Pink Combo

Good Morning,

After wearing pink all day on Wednesday I wanted to liven it up some. I wanted to layer with one of my crackle polishes. After suggestions I went with Veronica's idea a Red Crackle. I thought that would be an interesting combo. Lo and behold I love it!! I applied one coat of OPI Red Shatter in a criss-cross motion topped with Seche Vite Topcoat and off to work I go. Thanks Veronica! *-*

Red shatter is a jelly...I wish all of the crackles/shatters were in this texture

China Glaze Island Escape Summer Collection Swatches/Review

Good Morning,

I have the Island Escape Summer Collection to show you. This collection is great for the summer. I love all the colors. They are bright and fun.

Blue Iguana

Turquoise Blue glass fleck with a hint of purple. The formula is thin so I needed 3 coats

Papaya Punch

Orange creme that's not as bright as a neon. I used 2 coats

108 Degrees

Glass fleck Fuchsia with a flash of pink shimmer needed 2 coats

Electric Pineapple

Yellow green creme or chartreuse needed 2 coats

Cha Cha Cha

Yellow tone green with a flash of yellow shimmer needed 2 coats

Senorita Bonita

Purple with red shimmer needed 2 coats

From the bottles I didn't think this collection was all that special. Once I applied them I fell in love. I used 2 coats on all except Blue Iguana which needed 3 coats to get to bottle color. It's a nice variety of colors in this collection which included my favorite colors blue, green and purple. The cremes were easy to apply as well.

P2 Silver Blast Crackle

Good Morning, I got a P2 Crackle from a swap sometime ago. I can't believe I forgot who I swapped with. I want to thank my swapper for it. I do appreciate you! Before I took off Sephora by OPI Merry Me. I thought P2 Silver Blast would make a great combo to layer with. P2 Silver Blast is a shimmery silver crackle polish.

I applied this crackle with a light hand. I did want to achieve small cracks but not this small. It did crack pretty fast but I'm disappointed with this look. Blah!

I always paint my thumbs last don't know why. After seeing how small the cracks are I decided to go heavy on my thumbs. I like the way my thumbs turned out. Doesn't it look so much better with larger cracks?

Trail and error with different brands of crackles. Now I have to write down to apply P2 Silver Blast heavy to achieve large cracks.

Merry Me

I'm finally getting around to swatching my Sephora By OPI Holiday 2010 Limited Edition Collection-Merry Me. It's very beautiful! Deep red base with silver, red and pink glitter. No problems with the formula very opaque and only needed 2 coats. I thought it would eat up some topcoat. I was pleasantly surprised I only needed one coat of my Revlon Colorstay. It glistens so much I can't stop looking at my nails.

Hold up wait a minute, the next day my topcoat was eaten up. Lol! I applied another coat of Revlon Colorstay Topcoat. Now it looks perfect :)

Psst: Just want to share that Sally Hansen Hard as Nails clear is showing up at Big Lots. It can be used as a basecoat, topcoat and the ladies from MUA said it's great to layer over holographics and it won't dull the effect. How great is that!!

CND Red Hot Duo

Good Morning, I know I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. Lol! I'm in love with CND polishes and especially their Effects. Everytime I walk into Cosmoprof or SalonCentric and if I see a duo I just have to pick it up. This year I'm actually liking reds so that's a double whammy just couldn't leave it there.

The duo Just Red a jelly like consistency and Red Sparkle in a jelly clear base with very fine red glitter. These two belong together. Just Red only needed 2 coats and Red Sparkle only one coat and it covered well too!
