Fentiman's Rose Lemonade: BB Couture Aphrodite

Hello ladies,

Today I am bringing you a whimsical manicure inspired by my favorite beverage, Fentiman's Rose Lemonade. I am often seen walking through the garden with a parasol in one hand and a bottle of Rose Lemonade in another. I believe a proper manicure was in order.

I began with a base of BB Couture Aphrodite because it would not surprise me if the Goddess of Love is drinking Rose Lemonade at this very moment, while inspiring scenes of beauty and romance. I painted a stripe at the nail line with Art Club Gold Glitter. From Born Pretty Store, I chose rose and lemon fimo to create a funky French. I love how the placement of the rose blossoms and lemon wedges looks like little bows! With a variety of pink and yellow gems and pearls, I formed jeweled dots to reflect the natural carbonation in Fentiman's Rose Lemonade.

Apologies the roses were not blooming with their usual grandeur and Pennsylvania does not offer the best climate for lemon trees. My bottle of Rose Lemonade certainly embodies both flavors on its own.

My right hand.

Aphrodite is hot pink with a cooling, frosty finish. Pale pink shimmer is stirred throughout. I am showing three coats. Easy to apply, Aphrodite is certain to delight pink lovers.

Have you sampled any varieties of Fentiman's sodas or ever enjoyed a rose flavored beverage? I admit to regularly bringing an extra bottle of Rose Lemonade to share when meeting a friend. Only my recycle bin will truly tell the tale of how many bottles I enjoy weekly. What is your favorite drink of the summer?

Mention of Fentiman's Rose Lemonade was done purely out of love. Discover more about the full range of sodas at drinkfentimans.com and in the UK at fentimans.com.

Aphrodite was sent to me for review. Part of the BB Couture A Touch of Greece Collection/Ladies, Aphrodite can be purchased at overallbeauty.com

Garter toss: BB Couture Selene

Hello ladies,

June is a bridal month and weekends seem to be ornamented with bridesmaids and wedding bouquets in Rittenhouse Square. I created a garter toss manicure to go with all the satin, flowers and ribbons being paraded about.

With Konad white special polish, I stamped the lace ribbon from Bundle Monster plate BM210. I accented the center line with pearls from Born Pretty Store and pastel pink and hot pink jewels. The design made gem placement simple; I counted the circles in the weave of the lace to find the exact center for the large pearl. When using gems to embellish a design, I love experimenting with size and color.

Since I have been enjoying thin line French lately, I painted a sparkling stripe with Art Club crystal glitter. If you decide to work with this technique, I recommend painting the French after you add topcoat. I find that sealing the edge can subtly distort the line. I haven't had any issues with the Art Club glitter striper lines chipping or flaking, even without topcoat.

I befriended a tiny pollinator.
Yarrow blooms like a patch of sunlight.

A coordinating petunia.

BB Couture Selene is a new favorite pink! Its glossy, jelly formula is stirred with silver and diaphanous green glitter. So lovely! I am wearing four coats here, but three would suffice for most ladies with active length nails. If you are looking for a pretty pink for summer, put Selene on your wish list. It is worth adding to your collection.

I hope you enjoyed my garter toss manicure! It would be a fun look to wear to a bridal shower or wedding.

Selene was sent to me for review. This polish is part of the A Touch of Greece/Ladies Collection, available for purchase at overallbeauty.com.

Happy painting, ladies!

Gemini: BB Couture Nike

Hello ladies,

With the sun in Gemini, I was thinking about twin symbols. I decided to create a mirror image look with a motif of reflective elements.

Using Konad pastel blue special polish, I stamped the French floral design from Bundle Monster plate BM 212. I alternated the jewel placement every other nail with a shifting of fuschia and blue. I painted a thin line French with an Art Club striper in turquoise glitter. The finished manicure reminds me of Art Nouveau.

A gorgeous purple foil, Nike has winning shimmer. Two coats will bring opacity, but three displays a true richness of color. Nike is a must have for those who love purple!

I hope you enjoyed my bejeweled, mirror image floral.

Nike was sent to me for review. This shade is part of the A Touch of Greece Collection/Ladies, available for purchase at overallbeauty.com.

Happy painting, ladies!

On Holiday: BB Couture Hemera

Hello ladies,

Shading myself with an ivory lace parasol, I journeyed across town wearing an orange sun dress and a silk scarf draped over my shoulders. I ran into a friend walking his greyhound and he remarked that I looked like a "Victorian British woman on holiday in India".  I had to create a manicure for such a sentiment!

Using Konad white special polish, I repurposed a French tip design from Bundle Monster plate 220. I placed a white button pearl from Art Club in the center of each stylized chrysanthemum. The sparkly line was formed with an Art Club striper in Gold Glitter. I arranged the following ornaments along the diagonal: orange jewel, peach pearl, yellow jewel, golden pearl.

A tiny bee visited rested on the rose.

Look at the gorgeous shimmer in the bottle!

A flower ring and an owl ring.

Hemera is a gorgeous, warm coral shimmer. The silvery, white sparkle appears icy like a frozen treat. The color reminds me of gourmet gelato. I am showing four coats here, but I wore this shade for a day with only two. I think three would bring opacity for those with active length nails. Hemera is semi-sheer and easy to apply.

This manicure makes me want to ride on the back of a fancy, well cared for elephant.  How about you?

The Art Club materials and BB Couture polish were sent to me for review. Hemera is part of the
A Touch of Greece Collection/Ladies available for purchase at overallbeauty.com.

Happy painting, ladies!
