TICKLE MY FANCY JOLENE!!!

My Mom's recent konad design she is sporting. I couldn't remember what name you came up for this one Mom - whoops!

We used Zoya Jolene for the base coat. You should have heard the unison screeches of the song Jolene for the duration of this mani . . . . on second thought, it's best you didn't!!

I used the feather design from one of the Bundle Monster plates, stamped it in two different shades of silver, added a little bling and a black line and called it done man!

A LITTLE SOUTHWESTERN PERSUASION

This mani is one I did on my mom Saturday night. This is such a special mani because I never would have thought in a million years that my mom would suggest a green polish be painted on her nails! I don't think SHE ever thought she would either! SO way to go mom for stepping out of your comfort zone :)

After I got my new plates I told you all my mom had several mani/pedi ideas for me to execute. This was one of her ideas for a pedi, but we both just loved it so much we decided to so the same on her hands.

This looks so cute and I think one of the best mani/pedi's I have ever done. It just turned out perfect.

For the base color we used Sinful Colors - Mint Apple, a dark brown and a gold for the stamps and gold holo glitter dots.

MY MOM'S NOTW (THE 'NAWLENS)

Here is my mom's new mani I did for her last night. She picked one of the new Color Club colors from the Wild at Heart collection. I will still do a full post on swatches of this collection though for you all.

I was hoping to be able to swatch at least one of my new collections, but I had to spend the last hours of daylight cooking dinner last night, so I don't have any new swatches for you all. I will be working hard on those tonight and into this weekend, so be prepared for lots of upcoming swatch posts.

Back to my mom's mani. She selected Love 'Em / Leave 'Em, which is a really pretty champagne holographic color. Of course we didn't stop there, we stamped a design with konad on her nails, and them topped the center of each flower off with a drop from a gold glitter nail art pen.
She named this mani "The Nawlens".

GLITTER FRENCH

Today I have a glitter tipped french mani I did on my mom last night. We are also doing a test on the base coats I use too.


Since my mani's don't usually last over a day since I change them so often, the base coat I use isn't really that important to me. Since my mom will leave her mani's on for at least a week, it is more of an issue. I usually use Seche base coat, and by the end of the week, her nails are in need of being re-done. This last mani I did on her I used Orly Bonder for the base coat. She had more growth from the cuticles than she had chips or tip wear. So we decided to do a little test and see if the base coat was the cause of her mani lasting so long.


On her right hand I used Orly Bonder and on her left hand I used Seche base coat. I will let you all know how her mani held up and if the base coats came into play.


I painted the base with OPI - forgot the name! and did the tips with TiNS. I then applied a 3D flower to the middle of her nails and used Seche Top Coat to seal.

COULD I INTEREST YOU IN A GLASS OF WINE?

This was my mom's mani for last night. She specifically wanted the konad plate (#M38) with the wine glass. So when the plate came in yesterday, I knew what I would be doing last night!




The base coat is Sally Hansen - Deepest Violets. I them stamped on the wine glasses using China Glaze - Passion. I then added a touch of glitter using my Stripe Rite nail art pen in gold glitter. On the thumbs only I stamped the grapes and vine pattern on using China Glaze - Cherish.

Boy Mom didn't waste any time busting out the props for this one, lol!

This design was so skinny, as you can see it just isn't a very bold design unfortunately. The gold glitter bubbles added a little bit of bling to it.
