OOOOOOOHH, AAAAAAAHH TiNS!!!!

Wow, wasn't sure I was going to have time to post today. But I made time, especially since I have some of my beloved TiNS to share with you. I have a wonderful friend to thank for getting these babies to me - Thanks JEN!!

The first three are duochromes. I did a sucky job of showing it though in these pics. The last one has some sparse glitter in it.

**EDIT - TiNS are only available in Japan!

NOTD - ANOTHER FUNKY FRENCH

This is my NOTD - well, actually, my NOTLFD (nail of the last few days). GASP!! I know, I feel bad when I wear the same polish for longer than a day. I really feel like I have laid down on my job around here! This is similar to the one I did on my sister, with a few small changes. For the base I used Diamond Cosmetics - Angelic. Then I used my konad and Nfu Oh - #63 for the fishnet pattern. I then used TiNS - The Mars for the french tips. I used a So Easy Stripe Rite pen for the silver line.

(Forgot to include the Nfu Oh for this picture, sorry!)

Some sun shots, and as you can see there is some tip wear, since I wore this for like 2 days!!!!

GLITTER FRENCH

Today I have a glitter tipped french mani I did on my mom last night. We are also doing a test on the base coats I use too.

Since my mani's don't usually last over a day since I change them so often, the base coat I use isn't really that important to me. Since my mom will leave her mani's on for at least a week, it is more of an issue. I usually use Seche base coat, and by the end of the week, her nails are in need of being re-done. This last mani I did on her I used Orly Bonder for the base coat. She had more growth from the cuticles than she had chips or tip wear. So we decided to do a little test and see if the base coat was the cause of her mani lasting so long.

On her right hand I used Orly Bonder and on her left hand I used Seche base coat. I will let you all know how her mani held up and if the base coats came into play.

I painted the base with OPI - forgot the name! and did the tips with TiNS. I then applied a 3D flower to the middle of her nails and used Seche Top Coat to seal.

A TiNS ALTERNATIVE

Yes, ladies, I think I found a pretty close alternative to my beloved TiNS. This isn't a dupe, so I am giving it the title of an alternative. I have actually had this color for a while, but had only worn it once. However, when I came across it the other day, I thought it looked pretty close to a TiNS nail polish. This is jammed packed full of multi sized, holo glitter. This is also pretty opaque in one coat, but two is best to really bring out the bling factor. The polish I am talking about is by Clarie's and it is called Slime. It retails at Claire's stores for $3.50, which ain't bad at all. As far as I know, this is the only color that has the multi sized, chunky glitter look. So for those who can't get your own TiNS, but love the look - I would definitely suggest Claire's - Slime for a great alternative.

NEW NAILS

Today I have a new set of nails for your viewing pleasure. These nails belong to my OLDER sister, Briana. She came over this weekend to get her nails done. I think these turned out really cute!

I used for the base coat, OPI -Rosey Future, and for the tips my wonderful TiNS - The Diamond. Then I stamped on the skull and cross bones design from Konad stamp #M28. Then we topped it off with a red jewel.

AARRG!! GET YER HANDS OFF ME BOOTY!

Either this blog just took a turn down the Red Light District OR this is pirate related..............all those who guessed pirate related win!!

You KNOW I had to delve into my new Konad plates I got from OC Nail Art - right?! I already had my Konad plate # M28 out from my SH Insta-Dri test stamps, so I decided to use it for my nail of the day. I also still have a few of my TiNS that I haven't waved in your face........er I mean that I haven't teased ........ I mean NaNeNaNe BOO BOO , I have TiNS and YOU don't - lol!! Ok, now that that is out of my system, I still have a few TiNS that I haven't shown you yet so I decided to use one for the base. I used TiNS - The Diamond for the base, and believe me when I tell you it looks like I have dipped my finger nails into a diamond bath. My nails are simply draped in diamonds! With nails this expensive looking, I knew I needed something to protect them from all these pirate outbreaks we have had recently. So what better way to ward off pirates than with pirates (dead ones) !!

Three things can sum up my LOVE of this mani:

TiNS
Konad
Glittah

***Props curtesy of my son's toy box!! Thanks Little :)
