Moon, Bronze and Flowers

Good Morning,

After stopping at the post office to drop off a package I wasn't quite ready to go home so I stopped into a Walgreen's that I haven't been to for awhile.  I found SH Xtreme Wear Pumpkin Spice.  I then saw a new display of SH Insta-Dri's and picked up the last Bronze Ablaze. It's a bronze shimmer with a hint of green.   In the store it sorta looked like Chanel's Peridot but, as you can see on the nail it's not a dupe.

I for one love all colors but sometimes they might not be the right color for my skintone.  So,  what did I do...added other colors that compliment my skintone.

Next time you see a color or want it go ahead and pick it up and play with it.

The dots are a lovely teal creme by Ruby Kisses (no name on bottle)

I used konad stamp plate M82 with white special polish

The moon is a nude color by OPI Tickle My Francey it's my go to color. To get the moon I used reinforcements

Do you buy colors that doesn't compliment your skintone?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark

Another 10 Minute Manicure...OPI Caught with My Khakis Down

July 17, 2011

I found these french tip nail stickers for ONE dollar... So of course, I had to buy them to try them out. As you can see the sticker tip size is EXTREMELY large. I guess the manufacturer expects you to have REALLY long nails. I could have trimmed the stickers down to fit my nail length, but I kind of liked how it covered half my nail. It is different and unique. What do you think about it? Do you think I should have trimmed the stickers down to fit my nails?

The stickers were okay--meaning they stuck to the nail fairly well. BUT the edges were somewhat noticeable --just like most nail art stickers. The stickers could have lasted for a few days with a top coat. The good thing about these stickers is that I did not have to trim the sides. They fit my nail width fairly nicely. The base coat is two coats of OPI Caught with My Khakis Down.  (By the way, these stickers are included in my giveaway that I am hosting! Make sure to enter!!!!)

NOTD - BABY BLANKET HEARTS

I don't know why, maybe it is the pastel colors, but this mani makes me think of a baby blanket. I used Sinful Colors Beverly Hills and Unicorn and then used OPI White Shatter. I then stamped a heart on the top - awwwww!

Unique, Textured Nail Design

Experimental Nail Design

The other day I was at Michael's (a craft store) looking for items I could use in possible nail designs. I came across these slivers of foil looking metallic pieces (it is hard to describe). I got multiple colors, but in this manicure, I am sporting a turquoise color. I paired it with yellow dried nail art flowers over OPI What's with the Cattitude? This manicure was a total experiment. I think it looks neat. The final product left the nail with a rough texture. It was not smooth. So what do you think of this experimental manicure? Would you wear it?

SWEET NAILS & SWEET FOOD

First up - the nails. This was my NOTD a couple of days ago. I really liked this color combo. I have had a hard time finding a color combo where I liked the white shatter. So I was very nicely surprised by this. I want to wear this again in the near future. I used China Glaze - Moulin Rouge and then OPI - White Shatter. Then I added a skull sticker for fun.

Now for the food! These were desserts I made for the Fourth of July holiday.

Reese's Peanut Butter bottom cupcakes. Basically you put a resses peanut butter cup in the bottom of a foil cupcake liner before adding your cake batter and backing. Let me just tell you - heaven!!!!!!!!!! I used a devils food cake and homemade chocolate butter creme frosting.

Vanilla cupcakes with a light cream cheese butter creme frosting and red, white & blue decorations.

I made three kinds of brownies, but only took a picture of this one. The others were plain and caramel swirl. This one is a cheesecake swirl brownie topped with leftover chocolate butter creme frosting, chocolate sprinkles, vanilla crunch sprinkles and dark chocolate crumbles.

Blueberries

Good Morning,

After wearing OPI Planks Alot for two days I wanted a fresh mani. I pulled out OPI Navy Shatter.  Boy I'm glad I did.  I love the contrast that it gave me mid-tone blue to dark blue but it's shown more so on the pictures then in real life.  After applying I thought of blueberries. Lol! Yum Yum *-*

It's a good thing Navy Shatter and Seche Vite is quick drying because I'm running laaate...now I got to get to work.

I love adding them in my smoothies

Blueberries are high in anti-oxidants. Also, they are low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. They are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins C and K and magnesium.

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠) Share/Bookmark
